Training

Are you someone with lived experience of mental illness who wants to become a trainer?

Are you part of an educational organization or company looking to develop a long-term HOP training program?

Our training progression echoes the wisdom of modern medical training:  See one, Do one, Teach one phases.

    • See one” is to become a participant. It is for people with lived experience who want to engage in and learn about HOP, in part, perhaps to subsequently facilitate the program for others. In order to facilitate, one has to experience HOP.

    • Do one” is to be a facilitator.  It is for people who have already completed HOP and want to provide it to others. Find more information on becoming a facilitator by clicking the “Do One” Tab.

    • Teach one” is to become a master trainer. Master HOP trainers are people who want to teach and support facilitators in providing HOP to participants.  Relevant skills are outlined in the next manual. Find more information on training the trainer by clicking the “Teach One” Tab.
