Please Note: Participation in Honest, Open, Proud by people under 18 may lead to concerns about mandatory reporting of child abuse. Mandatory reporting of child abuse is defined as the “legally enforceable duty for those who have contact with children aged 17 years and below] to report to state and local authorities when mistreatment or abuse of those populations is suspected or confirmed” (Thomas & Reeves, 2022).
